The following post is to inform and warn you about a wicked Mexican holiday called the Day of the Dead. In truth; this is nothing more then occult witchcraft, mysticism and sin against a Holy God.

There are many varied practices about this dark macabre day but in general it is (they claim) a celebration of loved ones who have died. While the people dress in skeleton outfits; again they CLAIM it is just a celebration for life but do not be deceived. This is NOT in a way consistent with God's Word and His ways that are of light and the living. It is the enemy satan that is the dark one, of death and lies. See John 8
Jesus is the light, we are to be about Him and He said about dabbling in death:
Jesus said unto him, Follow me; and let the dead bury their dead. Matt 8:22
The following general details of this dark day will help you to see it is NOT of God so per 1 Thess 5 (avoiding all appearance of evil) holy saints are to reject it as of the occult.
*it has ties to the ancient dark Aztec culture
*it has ties to a goddess of the dark under world
*they make alters (believing in purgatory) to dead relatives and offer them food / flowers
*they have parades and bake bread of the Dead in bone shapes
*many Mexican Roman Catholics unite to it via their all saints day
*many believe on this day the dead and living can connect
*they have a skeleton image of a woman (Catrina) they place all over
*through foods and colorful flowers they believe it helps spirits visit the living
*the Aztecs were forced into Roman Catholicism then merged this day to all saints day
This is about as close to necromancy, dabbling with the dead as you can get and God forbid that in Deut 18
When thou art come into the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations. There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch. Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.

What more do we need to see that this is in no way glorifies God nor was it ordained by Him. We do hope some will see this post or our preaching and repent to the saving of their souls.
